Hard Times

So I have heard all of the news about the economic crisis and so on, but I am refusing to participate. I have been selling At Home America for about 18 months. I have done great in the past and I have slacked a little due to my own laziness, but my baby is going to kindergarten this year and I am really having a hard time with it. Right now he is in preschool 3 days a week and I was lucky enough to cut my days at work so I can take him 2 of those 3 days, but finding someone to pick him up and drop him off just that one day is so hard. So I am working on a plan to be able to stay at home this fall, easier said than done. Thankfully my husband makes a lot more money than I do so there is a chance we can survive without my income.
In November I did 4 homeshows and made what I normally do at my regular job. So I am setting my goal to have 6-8 homeshows a month starting in March, this will help bring in extra money during the next few months and will replace my income come fall when I need it. So I am having a "Re-Grand Opening" Homeshow at my house on Wednesday March 11th at 7:00 pm. This will be a great opportunity to come check out all of the new 2009 homewares, and of coarse there will be door prizes!! Doesn't everyone love a chance to get some free and great stuff! In addition this I will enter the first 6 people who contact me and book a homeshow in the month of March into and awesome drawing. That's a 1 in 6 chance at recieving a homeware (or homewares) absolutely free for just having friends come into your home and share what we all love!! I thank everyone for helping me stay out of this economic crisis and if you need help to stay out of it call me and we will see if what I love is also right for you!!

Tag, I am it.

25 Random things about me.

Since reading Sommers blog I went to the deep unknown of my cedar chest and got out all my old pictures! What memories come back when you look at pictures! It is so fun! I would have scanned the picture of Commencement Dance, but I am not smart enough to use our scanner, so if anyone would offer help that would be great!

Rules: Once you've been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 25 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 25 people to be tagged. You have to tag the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it's because I want to know more about you.

1. I am afraid of the dark. I don't even have to be alone.
2. Tyson and I have been dating for 12 years this year. (Married for 7 in May)
3. I want to learn how to play the piano.
4. I wished we lived in country so we could have lots of animals. (cows, pigs, sheep, it doesn't matter)
5. I wish I could be a stay at home mom.
6. I am baby hungry.
7. Considering where I work, I don't have near enough patience for my kids as I should have.
8. I love scary movies! Probably why #1 is a problem.
9. I am a sucker for romance. Funny because Tyson is so not romantic.
10. We are planning on getting sealed in the temple this year.
11. I am currently doing my own "Biggest Loser" with some friends and family. A lot harder than I thought. I think it is so much easier just to be fat!
12. I planned our honeymoon when we got married, and I chose to take Tyson to Alaska! Isn't he lucky!
13. My husband makes a better housewife than I do. He can clean and do the dishes with the best of them. That's why he keeps me working. Imagine the mess he would have to clean up with the three of us home everyday!
14. My favorite show is Desperate Housewives.
15. I don't think there is anything better in the world than having my kids giving me huge hugs out of the blue!
16. I take my kids to Peaches Pets frequently just so they can see and pet all of the animals.
17. I want to take some gardening classes. My aunt and my grandma are "Master Gardners", and I think it would be a lot of fun.
18. I love to fish. Not just to catch fish, but to get a tan and just relax. Relaxing only takes place if you don't take your kids, but why would go fishing if you couldn't take your kids?
19. I love the rain.
20. My favorite food is "ghetto nachos". The kind you buy at the convienent store. The reason I am now doing #11.
21. I still tell my husband and my parents I love them at the end of every phone call.
22. Nothing makes me laugh harder than when I hear a baby or a child giggle. I love it!
23. I have been pulled over 3 years in a row for having expired license plates! Tyson went to court for me all 3 times. He is such a good husband!
24. I really wish I could sleep in until just 9:00 one morning!
25. I am not a night person, I would be completely happy if I could go to bed at 8 every night!

Bad Idea!!

So, I have an update to my last post, the bow-n-arrows probably weren't the best idea. At first it was fine, but then Ty taught Logan how to shoot the arrow and they hurt! I am trying to tell him that he has to shoot them downstairs but he is afraid to go down there "because the Grinch is down there". It is a lost cause! And thankfully we bought them at the dollar store because 5 out of 6 of the arrows are broken. Not because the were el cheapo but because they came in contact with Kason. Nothing usually last long when he gets his hands things! So my great idea didn't turn out great, but at least the kids are happy with them, most of the time!!

My Brother, My Best Friend

Tyson had to leave for a few minutes tonight and the kids went crazy, you would think that I am the worst mom in the entire world if you saw how they reacted when they were left with me. Fortunatly, I made a trip to the Dollar Store earlier today and bought some bow-n-arrows and I had forgotten about them until now. We busted them out and the kids went on a hunting adventure! You can see in the pictures that they have there arrows and guns in the backpack because that is where Dad put his things. They also watch the Outdoor Channel for hours on end. Kason doesn't watch cartoons or anything like that, but if you tell him they're hunting on TV he immediatly sits down, then all he says is "shootem". He cracks me up! They have such wild imaginations and I love it!!

As you can tell by looking at Kason that pants are not a requirement when you are hunting, if you have camo boots on then it's all good!! I am a little afraid of what the future will bring when they are old enough to do things on there own!

Happy Birthday!!

I can't believe how fast time flies, my baby is 2!! It is not even that he is now a terrible 2, because he has been terrible since the day he was born! Here are some pictures from his birthday party. This year was a lot more fun because he knows a little about what's going on. He really knows that the presents are his. He pushed Rylee because she was playing with one of his toys. "MINE" That is his new favorite word next to "NO"!! Oh the fun of having a toddler!!

The family is getting so big that next year it definitly won't be at my house again!

He is pretty sure he is so cool with his new toys that make noise!

Tyson told his mom that she couldn't buy him anything cute. He needs to be tough, so she bought him these huge green Hulk gloves. At first when he opened them he was afraid and covered them back up with the wrapping paper. After a couple of hours he liked them. Now he will bring his dad a glove and put one on his hand and say "fight" then he hits ya!! It is cute as long as he is not hitting me!

We have a rule that when there are kids at a birthday party we have to have both a cake and cupcakes. Not because kids like cupcakes better but because they all think they have to help blow out the candles. We prefer not to eat the spit/snot of 10 children when they try so hard to blow out the candles. We love them, just not that much!! Isn't he just the cutest thing ever!!

Another black eye!

On Thanksgiving Day the boys in Ty's family shoot guns. I don't really care what they are shooting as long as Ty takes the boys with him! Well after I got my salads made for dinner I went over to join the fun and this is what I saw when I got there...

A Big Fat Black Eye!!

When I saw it I calmy asked Logan what happened ( I was calm because this is Logans 4th black eye). He calmy replied he was shooting the gun and the trigger hit him in they eye! What a boy! He continued to shoot so it must not of hurt him too bad.
